Welcome to the Tidepooling & Dock Atlas—a lovingly assembled, non-comprehensive guide to some of the spots I’ve explored and adored. This is not an exhaustive list, and it’s not meant to be. The coast is long, wild, and full of secrets. Some of the best spots won’t be found on any website or map—and that’s exactly how it should be.

Think of this atlas as a starting point, a field of breadcrumbs, or a trail of anemone slime leading toward your own discoveries. Many of these places are publicly accessible, relatively safe, and rich with life if you show up at the right time and with the right eyes. Others are more cryptic and require a little guts, timing, and reverence.
And listen—if you're hunting for the “perfect” spot, you might already be missing it. Tidepooling isn’t about trophy finds or named locations. It’s about showing up—knees wet, heart open, headlamp ready—and seeing what the water left behind.

Let this atlas guide you, but don’t let it limit you. Some of the most magical slugs I’ve met were found in forgotten corners of the map, where nobody thought to look.
